Introducing LAYERS: Because there is always more beneath what we see
One of the things I often say in counselling is that people rarely come to therapy with "just one problem."
What initially looks like anxiety may also involve fear, self-doubt, past experiences, relationship difficulties, grief, pressure, expectations or unmet needs.
There are often layers beneath what we first see.

Over the years, this idea became the foundation for a framework I now use regularly in my counselling work called LAYERS.
The reason I chose this name is simple.
When life feels overwhelming, we often focus on what is happening on the surface. We try to fix the symptom without fully understanding what sits underneath it.
Yet lasting change often begins when we slow down, become curious and start exploring those deeper layers.
LAYERS is designed to help people do exactly that.
It is a practical framework that encourages greater self-awareness, emotional understanding and self-compassion during difficult moments.
Over the coming weeks, I'll be sharing more about the LAYERS Method, how it works and why it has become such an important part of my work with clients.
For now, perhaps consider this question:
When you feel overwhelmed, frustrated or anxious, what might be sitting beneath the surface?
Because there is always more beneath what we see.
